The Audio Compliance Division is pleased to announce the implementation of our new “Bass Ban” policy. All vehicular audio systems must now comply with the “Gentle Breeze” standard.
🔊 AUDIO COMPLIANCE STANDARDS
Maximum Volume: No louder than a “Gentle Breeze”
Measurement Distance: 10 feet from vehicle
Enforcement Method: Audio Compliance Officers with specialized equipment
⚠️ VIOLATION CONSEQUENCES
Residents whose vehicles can be heard from 10 feet away will be:
- Added to the Noise Offender Registry (NOR)
- Required to attend Audio Sensitivity Training
- Subject to Random Audio Inspections
- Fined $250 per violation
🎵 APPROVED AUDIO LEVELS
- ✅ Classical music at library volume
- ✅ Podcasts at conversation level
- ✅ News radio at whisper volume
- ❌ Any music with bass
- ❌ Any music with drums
- ❌ Any music that can be heard outside the vehicle
